  • How can I order a cake from you?
Please visit our web page called Custom Cakes to check our availability and send in your enquiry. Bear in mind you can also send in enquiries for cookies and cupcakes too.
  • Do you have a shop to visit or pick up from?
Welcome to The Bakelist! We are an online bakery business. We do not own a shop front & have taken our baking passions online for you to connect with 24/7. We operate from a dark kitchen and offer the following arrangements: Where are all the baked goodies coming from then? Everything is made in a licensed commercial kitchen based in Mansfield, Brisbane.
  • I have a food allergy, what can I eat?
We want to help our customers make informed choices about our products. If you are adhering to a special diet, or you have intolerances or allergies please review our ALLERGEN DISCLAIMER & INGREDIENTS LIST below Every effort has been made to keep this information current, however, changes or substitutions may occur. Please be advised that all of our foods are prepared in a common kitchen - we do not have segregated production lines, so there is risk of cross-contact. Our kitchen handles all the main allergens of dairy, nuts, peanuts, gluten (wheat), egg, sesame, sulphites and soya. If you have a serious allergy to any of these allergens, or one that can cause you to have a major allergic reaction, then we do not recommend you consume any of our products. Made-Without-Gluten Recipes Our low gluten offerings are designed for those with minor gluten sensitivities or those who prefer to avoid gluten for nutritional reasons. We do not recommend our products for people with Celiac Disease. Nuts Our nut free recipes are produced in the same area where products containing various nut items are created. We do not recommend our products for people with severe nut allergies. Dairy & Egg Our dairy & egg free recipes (vegan products) are produced in the same area where products containing various nut items are created. We do not recommend our products for people with severe dairy or egg allergies.
  • What are your return policies?
Given the perishable nature of our offerings, we do not accept returns or offer exchanges, and/ or grant refunds on any goods sold unless the issue for return, exchange, and/ or refund is the result of an error in our manufacturing, packaging, or handling of the goods. As a policy, we do not offer refunds on delays caused by one of our shipping partners due to weather, mechanical error, strikes, natural disaster, inaccurate shipping information, mistakes on the part of our shipping partners’ employees or similar reasons that are outside of our control. That said, we know how important it is for your package to be delivered on time and we will always advise you of a rough delivery time frame with every purchase. Mistakes happen, and we get it! Unfortunately, any mistakes made during the ordering process by the customer resulting in a delay/ non-delivery are not eligible for any refunds.
  • Do you offer delivery?
Yes we do. Our delivery services are broken down into 2 different parts - wholesale and retail. Retail (Available on selected days only) We are currently offering free delivery across Brisbane on selected days (seasonal bake sale events) for purchases valued $45 and over. Wholesale (Tuesday - Friday every week) Our wholesale sector offers delivery across Brisbane and surrounding areas between Tuesday and Friday (every week). Orders under $150 incur a $27.50 charge and orders over $150 are free.
  • What are your serving and storage recommendations?
We always recommend you consume our products within 24 hours after receiving. Cookies, brownies & slices can be stored for 3-5 days at room temperature in a sealed or air tight compartment and can be stored in the freezer for up to two months. They can be reheated in the microwave (15-20 seconds) or in the oven (350 degrees for five minutes). Just be sure to remove them from the plastic wrap first. Bake List’s cakes can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days, and up to two weeks in the freezer (cakes should be removed from the fridge two hours before serving). Our cakes are best served at room temperature. If your order is delayed by 2 (or more) days and contains a cake, please dispose or refuse delivery, as it will no longer meet our standard of quality and freshness for your enjoyment. Please reach out to hello@bakelist.com.au for further assistance. If your order contains cookies, they will be in great condition to enjoy for up to 3 days in transit.
  • What are your payment methods?
At this time we are accepting payments via debit and credit cards and Afterpay. If you would like to make a payment via bank transfer please proceed with 'manual payment' at checkout and we will get back to you with an invoice for further payment details. Please note that your order will not be confirmed until payment is successful and has been received by us.
  • What will our order be packaged in?
I NOTICE YOU HAVE NEW PACKAGING! That's right! Same deliciously decadent products, upgraded modern look (because even iconic products need a little wardrobe update now and then). We consolidated our new packaging to a single box, rather than layers of boxes and tissue paper, which means less waste and less digging to get to the good stuff. We also think our new package brings more fun and joy to our design, so whether you’re in Brisbane or Gold Coast, you still feel the joy and whimsy of our bakery. Can I recycle your packaging? Yes, all of our corrugated (cardboard) products can be recycled throughout most curb-side bins located across Australia or when deposited at a purposed recycling facility.
  • Can you tell us more about your Seasonal Bake Sales?
We love celebrating holidays and major events with our local community. Gifting is our love language and that is why we host seasonal bake sales - offering edible, luxury gift packs and treats for our community to enjoy and share with loved ones. Some holidays and events we plan on hosting this year include Lunar New Year, Valentines Day, Eid Mubarak, Mothers Day, Easter & Christmas. We offer deliveries on dates close to the event & announce new releases at least 2-4 weeks prior. You'll find that the sweets menu is a reflection of Annie's cultural background and her experience with baking desserts for cafes. It covers an exclusive range of cookies, slices, brownies and cakes - up to 15 different recipes to explore and each of them tweaked to cater those with unique lifestyles (e.g vegan) or dietary requirements (e.g. mild sensitivities). Pre-orders start 2-4 weeks prior to these one-day events and free delivery is available for all Brisbane residents, meeting purchase minimum $50. We host these events because we love sharing our fresh creations with our followers, friends and families. Prior to these bake sale events, we were always handing out left overs/rejects from our wholesale production shifts or teasing our friends and followers with what we made on social media. Although our duds and videos were loved and enjoyed by all, we knew deep down that everyone deserved a better experience and what better way to do that than to host these exciting bake sale events!
  • Do you have a shop to visit or pick up from?
We do not have a physical retail store for you to visit at any time. That is because we have taken our baking passions online for you to connect with 24/7. We will be offering pick ups and deliveries on certain dates and via our announcements on the website and on social media. Where are all the baked goodies coming from then? Everything is made in and despatched from a commercial kitchen based in Mansfield, Brisbane.

  • What happens when I am not home to receive my delivery?
We wouldn't wish for you to miss your delivery! So we are working with our delivery partners to organise a way to keep you informed at every step of the way via text message on when delivery is on the way, when delivery is made, when delivery is left at the door or when your order is not delivered. If for any reason no one is present to receive delivery of the products at the delivery address you have provided, we will call you to either confirm if you would like the product left in a safe place or with a neighbour or we will take the products back and retain the product for 24 hours during which time you may contact us at hello@thebakelist.com to either arrange for personal collection. We will not offer refunds or discounts if you cannot collect your order after this. At this moment, we do not offer redeliveries the following day.
